Bill of Rights for Lefties  

• 1. The Right to Exist!   No more correcting little children when they use their left hand, no more punishments!  The left handed has been subdued for too long, we will stand up and be counted!  

• 2. The Right to safe Fire Arms! No more shells that eject only to one side.  Clip triggers need to also be adjusted for left hand accessibility.  Merchandise should be properly labeled for left or right hand use.   

• 3. The Right for parents to raise their children left handed without criticism! Psychologist Freud and others got it Wrong!  It is BETTER for the child if you let them be left handed.  

• 4. The Right to have access to tools for the left handed! Too many tools are dominate right hand use only with no left handed substitute.  With over 2,500 left handers killed each year using right handed products, this needs to be a priority!  

• 5. The Right to use the left hand without negative remarks! We are not Sinistral, clumsy, or awkward; we are different thank God!  We must change the wording in numerous dictionaries to remove the negative connotation towards left handedness to reflect a more realistic definition without prejudice.  And unlock the left side door.  Shows lefty’s are welcome!  

• 6. The Right to defend oneself when being unjustly wronged due to handedness! We are not going to lay down and be picked on anymore!  The Salem Witch trials was a devastation to the left handed population and that stigma is still carried in some churches today.  We will fight back!  

• 7. The Right to a proper Education! Proper education starts with teachers that know their students.  They cannot teach them to write if they don’t know the students dominate hand.  Nor can they teach them to cut with scissors, use rulers, and more without having the proper tools at the teachers’ disposal.    

• 8. The Right to a fair price for products made for the left handed! Left handed customers should not have to pay outrageous prices for a similar product made for a right hander.  This is not FAIR and will not be tolerated!  Dress shirts should have a pocket on the left and some with a pocket on the right.    

• 9. The Right to be Asked about our handedness! This is NOT a Race issue.  Before a nurse sticks a needle in my arm, she should ask if I am left or right handed.  When one wakes up from surgery, the call buttons are always placed on the right side.  Not healthy/safe for a left hander.    

• 10. The Right to be Recognized! As of today, left handers are basically ignored!  The one exception is August 13th, Left Handers Day.  The world needs Unity now more than ever.  Left handers and right handers working together.  Left handers do think differently and have skills that the World needs right now along with the differences of the Right handed.  We must rise and be recognized!
